Join us for a very special month as AJ DC and Cookbook Courtyard come together to celebrate community and the joy of gathering around food. This month’s Cookbook Club is a special collaboration centered on good food, meaningful stories and the people who make our community so special.
Former food journalist and full-time food content creator AJ_DC has built a dedicated following by spotlighting incredible small businesses, hidden gems and unforgettable dining experiences throughout the DC area. Beginning his journey in food journalism, AJ has transformed his passion for storytelling and exploration into a full-time creative adventure, inspiring a community of over 160,000 followers across all platforms. He even got nominated this year for RAMMYS Best Content Creator of the Year!
Cookbook Courtyard is a growing culinary community with over 7,000 members in the DC area. What started two years ago as a small cookbook club has grown into a community featuring workshops, culinary events and seasonal markets that bring people together through food, connection and shared experiences.
For this special collaboration, we’ll be celebrating Coconut & Sambal by Lara Lee, a cookbook that explores the rich flavors, traditions and stories of Southeast Asian cuisine. Through recipes and personal storytelling, the book highlights the beauty of bold flavors, cultural heritage and the memories created around the table.
