This month, we’re celebrating Galette by Rebecca Firkser, a cookbook all about effortless, rustic baking.

Rebecca Firkser is a Brooklyn-based writer, recipe developer, and stylist.

Her recipes and writing have appeared in Bon Appétit, Food52, TASTE, Eater, and New York Magazine’s The Strategist, among others. She also writes a Substack newsletter, Nickel & Dine, celebrating budget-friendly recipes. Rebecca has tested and edited recipes for various publications and cookbooks, including Eric Kim’s Korean American and Hailee Catalano’s By Heart.

This will still be our usual Cookbook Club monthly event where you pick a dish from the cookbook of the month and bring it to the event, but we’re making it EXTRA special this time.

On top of tasting over 50 kinds of galettes, we will have: 
• A photoshoot pop-up with local photographer and content creator Jess Hood
• Coffee corner serving iced lattes for everyone, plus canned fun drinks and sodas (no alcohol!)
• A much awaited ice cream pop-up of Snow Crane by Chef Takeshi Nikashawa
• Graza ‘s olive oil potato chips for everyone to try
• One Trick Pony giving out PB&J on Call Your Mother bagels (!!!)
• A build-your-own bouquet station with Blumen

Before the event ends, we’ll pick the Best Dish winner who will receive:
• A $100 gift card
• A signed copy of Galette and a limited-edition Galette! tote bag
• An exclusive Rebecca Firkser curated spice collection from Burlap & Barrel

Your ticket includes:
• Iced latte + all the fun drinks (canned sodas, juice, spritz, etc.)
• One cup of Snow Crane ice cream
• Graza olive oil potato chips
• One Trick Pony’s signature PB&J on Call Your Mother bagels
• Tasting over 50 kinds of Galettes (WOW!)
